Hello world! My name is Enhao Zhang. I'm a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Washington, where I work in the UW Database Group. I'm co-advised by Magdalena Balazinska and Ranjay Krishna.
My research interests are Database Systems, Machine Learning and Human-Computer Interaction. My PhD work aims to build video data management systems that make compositional video queries both easier to specify and more efficient to execute.
I interned at Microsoft Research with Erkang (Eric) Zhu in 2024 and Snowflake in 2023. Before coming to UW, I obtained my Bachelor's degree at the University of Michigan in Computer Science, and UM-SJTU Joint Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Electrical & Computer Engineering. At UM, I worked with Michael Cafarella on video databases and Nikola Banovic on interactive Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) exploration.
